About Donna

I help healthcare leaders, organizations, patients, and families see what is possible when systems are designed with compassion, courage, and purpose.

Through writing, leadership, and advocacy, I explore healthcare transformation, caregiving, and the human side of leadership, challenging people to imagine what healthcare can become.

Donna M. Bergman, MBA, FACHE, FACMPE, is a healthcare executive, author, and advocate with more than thirty years of experience leading healthcare organizations through growth, change, and transformation.

A Fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives, Donna has spent her career helping people navigate complex healthcare systems while championing access, innovation, and patient-centered care.

Her first book, Lifeboats from Far Away, tells the deeply personal story of caring for her mother through dementia from more than a thousand miles away. Through that experience, Donna discovered that some of life's most difficult challenges require both practical leadership and profound compassion.

Today, Donna writes and speaks about caregiving, leadership, healthcare transformation, and the courage to imagine systems that better serve patients, families, providers, and communities.

Her mission is simple:

Helping People See What Is Possible.

Through her writing, speaking, and leadership, Donna challenges conventional thinking about healthcare and caregiving while inspiring others to believe that better outcomes, better systems, and better futures are possible.

She believes the most meaningful change begins when people can see beyond what is, and imagine what could be.
